I work with black & white or colour photographs. Like
in my paintings there is a leitmotiv through out my photography:
the light is used as a decisive factor in the choice of a
subject or the way the camera gazesat reality.
My photography tries to capture different aspects of the urban
landscape: from streets full of busy people rushing, or stopping
to be "portraitised" by my camera to desolate places
where casual scenery becomes the focus of my artistic intentions.
There is also another aspect of my photography - the interest
in more formal qualities of the photographic endeavor: composition,
opposite contrasts of colours and subjects, techniques of
the photographic process. I owe a lot of great aesthetic enchantment
and inspiration to artists like: Henry Cartier-Bresson, Kenneth
Josephson and Man Ray.
